Trading Terms
Our terms and conditions for projects and services
1. Quotations
All quotations provided by AB21 Joinery & Building Ltd are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Quotations are based on the information provided to us and may be subject to revision if circumstances change.
2. Acceptance
A quotation is accepted when the customer confirms acceptance in writing (email is acceptable) or pays the required deposit. Upon acceptance, a binding contract is formed between AB21 Joinery & Building Ltd and the customer.
3. Deposits and Payment Terms
Payment terms vary depending on the nature and size of the project:
- A deposit may be required before work commences
- Stage payments may be required for larger projects
- Final payment is due upon completion of works
- Payment can be made by bank transfer or agreed alternative methods
4. Variations and Additional Works
Any variations to the original scope of works must be agreed in writing. Additional works or changes requested during the project will be priced accordingly and added to the final invoice.
5. Access and Site Conditions
The customer is responsible for ensuring safe and suitable access to the work site. We should be informed of any hazards, restrictions, or special conditions that may affect the works.
6. Insurance
AB21 Joinery & Building Ltd maintains appropriate public liability insurance. Customers are advised to ensure their own buildings and contents insurance covers building works being undertaken on their property.
7. Warranties
We warrant that all works will be carried out to a professional standard using appropriate materials. Specific warranty periods will be detailed in individual project agreements. Warranties do not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage caused by misuse or negligence
- Work carried out by others
- Issues caused by settling or movement beyond our control
8. Cancellation
If you need to cancel a project after acceptance, please contact us immediately. Cancellation charges may apply depending on work already completed, materials ordered, and other costs incurred.
9. Disputes
We aim to resolve any disputes amicably through discussion. If a resolution cannot be reached, Scottish law will govern these terms and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Scottish courts.
